BIOGRAPHY

Adam made his first record aged 11 years old in 1979 as part of the kinderpunk group ‘The Stupid Babies’. The song ‘Babysitters’ was regularly played on the legendary John Peel radio show on BBC radio 1. In 1986 Adam formed ‘Diskord Datkord’ with Jonny Slut (later dj and host of club NAGNAGNAG in London) and released one single (which rose to single of the week in NME) a cover version of X Ray Spex's “Identity” which included samples of the original played over a MANTRONIX bass line.......some say it was possibly the first ever Electro Clash record. In 1988 Adam (who had by now become ADAMSKI named after the UFO enthusiast/space traveller George Adamski) met his house music mentor Jimi Polo from Chicago U.S.A. Jimi taught Adam how to use a sequencer and 909 drum machine and Adam in turn provided Jimi Polo with the much-sampled piano riff for his house music classic “Better Days”.

Fast forward to summer 1989 and Adam starts taking his sequencer, drum machine and sampler to nightclubs, plugging into the dj mixer and playing live mix downs of his self-composed tracks and in a short time went from playing small after hours parties to playing at all the legendary and pioneering house clubs all over Britain including Shoom, Heaven and Solaris in London, the Hacienda in Manchester, Sub Club in Glasgow and Underground in Liverpool amongst many others. He was resident spin-in techno musician in the world famous Amnesia nightclub in Ibiza alongside the legendary Dj Alfredo. He was also appearing at many of the early illegal raves and warehouse parties in the UK such as Sunrise, Energy and Biology and had his 1st pan-European hit with the instrumental track "NRG"

In 1990 he had a massive no.1 hit with the track 'KILLER' featuring the vocals of Seal which to date has since been covered by George Michael, German trance Dj ATB, Sugarbabes ,The Whitest Boy Alive and most recently Scottish indie band Sons and Daughters.

Throughout the 90's Adam continued to produce artistic dance music and work with such diverse talents as Kurtis Blow, Nina Hagen, Afrika Bambaataa, Elton John and The KLF. In 1998 he released "One of the people" featuring the vocals of Gerideu which was another big tune and a veritable anthem in Ibiza and Italy.

In 1999 Adam moved to Italy and started to get regular bookings as a dj... When his old chum Jonny Slut began the seminal Nagnagnag club in 2002 Adam Sky was the guest dj for the opening night and became a regular guest there throughout its duration. Adam has since lived between London, Barcelona and Berlin and worked as a CDJ, musician and producer all over the world. He has djed in acclaimed international clubs such as Womb in Tokyo, Panic and Social in Paris, Club Rio in Berlin....Gaudi and Krishna in Moscow....Space in Ibiza….the list goes on and on.

Adam has several releases on French label “Kitsune” and Berlin's Exploited records including Adam Sky and Mark Stewart “We are all prostitutes” (a remake of the classic pop group track from '79) which was released to acclaim with an early Crookers remix that became a massive dance floor smash. Adam has also recently collaborated with Sweden's Zoo Brazil to make 'Circle Jerk' for Tiga's Turbo records.

This summer will see Adam's own 21st century update of his own “Killer” on  house music label Phonetic featuring old friend GERIDEAU on vocal duties, 'Boom Bang Boy' his collaboration with NIYI and London’s Dungeons' featuring 'the Godfather of grime' Rebel MC...
