Mark Dale


Mark started his career in music in the early nineties at the age of 16, at the legendary Passion Records in London’s busy Oxford St; selling records to dj's like Jumping Jack Frost, 4 Hero, Dave Angel, and Lemon D to name but a few.


After one year Mark moved on to being a buyer of Euro And Techno at the shop, he was also writing the Techno review for a new magazine called Check Dis as well as playing at warehouse parties such as World Party, Spiral Tribe and Evolution, playing a mix of break beat and techno sounds.


After some time Mark started playing at larger West End London clubs, the first being Knowledge, where he played with big brother Colin Dale, Colin Faver and Brenda Russell.


He quickly moved on to playing in European clubs in Austria, Germany, Greece, Italy, France and Switzerland to name but a few, and was resident at club nights such as Deep space, Vapour space, Growth, Cyclone, Stastis, Electric Underground, Éclat, Digisole, Eclectrionik and Electric Boogie - Mark’s own club night.


He has also appeared at The Ministry of Sound, the End Club, the Fridge, Heavens, Ultimate Base, Tresor Club (Germany), The Cave Club (Austria), Douala (Germany) and many more..


He has also been interviewed on radio shows and by magazines such as Magic Feet (UK), Lemon (Greece), Cool FM (Greece), D.R.S.3 (Germany / Austria /Switzerland), Apple FM (UK), and most recently Groovetech Radio where he had a regular monthly show.


Mark now produces records and has a number of releases under his belt, the most well known being ‘Nightlife’ on Groovetech Records, under the name of ‘Dark Male’; which was featured on the Fabric album by Terry Francis and the Carnival album by Sancho Panza, both albums have done extremely well, and this was Marks very first release.


Mark’s second release was on Purpose Records under the name of ‘Mark Dale’, a track called ‘Rain God / Deep Blue’, which was featured as the second track on the Beyond; the Darkness LP on King-size Records.
